Meet Katie

Katie.jpg

I have been employed within the graphic design industry since 2003 in various  communications departments for both the public and private industries, as well as worked as a freelancer to design projects for local businesses and organizations outside of my employment to maintain a creative mix.

In the spring of 2018 I launched Katie Sinkowski Design with the intention of expanding my work so I could explore my industry on a new level and complete branding and design work for a wide range of businesses, organizations and services.

Most of my work consists of branding & logo design, illustration and advertising, as well as a variety of print-based and digital designs to include things like magazine layout, package design, promotional design and signage. I became a Registered Graphic Designer (RGD) of Ontario in 2009, and have an educational background and diplomas in Graphic Design, Art and design fundamentals  and Electronic Prepress.

I understand the importance of branding and corporate identity and the need for consistency to make a business or organization memorable. An effective design is reached through research and strategy so that a business or corporation can stand out, and I thoroughly enjoy helping businesses achieve this.

Over the last 14 years I have travelled to over 21 different countries around the world. I have seen a large part of Canada, and the United States as well as Central and South America, New Zealand, South Africa, Eastern Africa and Europe. Traveling is a large part of who I am and I believe that experiencing what the world has to offer lends a hand in my creativity.

If you have any questions about my work or services offered, please feel free to contact me. I’d love to hear from you!

Meet Jason

Born and raised in Haldimand-Norfolk, I started teaching in the area after university and fighting for diversity and inclusion. I was one of the founding members of Grand Erie’s Rainbow Ball. I also appeared on 2 seasons of Masterchef Canada which landed me the gig as Norfolk’s Food and Drink Ambassador. You can usually find me singing and acting in local theatre productions and making drag appearances as my alter ego Ms. Cherry P. Poppins.

Working for blogNorfolk has allowed me to build connections with so many local business and help to promote their unique stories and products. Whether it's eating corn dogs at the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show or getting cheesy with Jenny at the Cheese Shop in Port Dover, i'm always up for an experience, and a snack! One example of this is the Tree to Table experience which led to finding a new love for foraging. Despite one risky adventure (and wildly popular video) this has led to filming an upcoming foraging tv series in 2023! I am super excited to keep working with local businesses and would love to help showcase what makes your product/service special!
